Children often like fruit, not just a piece. No, if they are allowed to choose, they usually choose a fruit salad. And this salad is certainly healthy and looks very festive!
During the birthday the children made their own homemade pizzas. Rolling dough, smear with tomato sauce and topping it with what they find tasty. That was a party in itself. On the table I had a delicious fruit salad bowl for every child. As an addition to the delicious pizza a few vitamins. And they went in like cake.
Oranges are awfully nice for serving bowls for a single person. But you can also hole a watermelon and fill with fruit for serving large groups.
I picked fruits that won’t discolor. If you’ve got fruit that browns just brush it with lemon juice (but they get more acidic for taste) or soaking in the 7-Up. The 7-up also ensures that the fruits do not discolor.
In the summer you fill bowls with delicious summer fruit. In the winter it is also delicious filling the bowl with pieces of apple, pear and raisins. Sprinkle a bit cinnamon over the fruit for more flavor.
In the morning of the party
Cut the orange in half and carefully hollow out. Keep the hollowed orange halves in plastic wrap and store at room temperature.
Wash the fruit and mix them in a bowl. Do you have fruits that turn then sprinkle with lemon juice or dip in 7-up.
